QuestionHi, i purchased a D. scorpiodes a couple weeks ago and it looked fantastic.
I put it in a windowsill with a couple hrs of sun light a day, but all the
tentacles curled up. New ones are coming in and so far there are only a few
and they have dew but not much. So I was wondering, do u grow them in full
sunlight at your nursery? and if not, what can I do to help it? Thanks
AnswerHi Dakota,
We keep all our pygmy sundews in the warmest, brightest part of the sundew greenhouse. They thrive on full, hot sun. Two hours isn't enough. If you move your plant to a brighter window such as a West window, or supplement it with artificial light, it will perk right up. This plant is also quite happy outside once your past danger of frost. It will do great on a sunny patio. They take on a beautiful red hue to their tentacles.
Good Growing!
