Question
Nepenthes mira
Allexperts,
I got this Nepenthes Mira from you guys a few months ago. I was wondering if I should repot the [Nep Mira]plant now? I usually repot the nepenthes is the summer. I don't now this type of nepenthes. I have a picture of the plants. It looks like the plant is being overtaken by the grassy plants as you can see in the picture. would this soil be okay for it? I usually put the standard Carnirivous plants mix on the bottom. Then put in the plant. Finally put the Nepenthes mix around the plant to top it off. Thank you for your time. If you need anything else, please let me know.

AnswerHi Weylin,
Looking at the moss growth, it's probably time to transplant. I recommend using Nepenthes mix in the whole pot. The reason is that standard mix isn't going to allow as good a drainage as Nepenthes need. If the standard mix is closer to 3 parts perlite to one part peat, that would be fine. Repotting it now as the weather is getting warmer is perfect.
Good Growing!
