Questionso i noticed the soil on my nepenthes plant is starting to smell a bit foul. id like to repot it, but i have no orchid bark or perlite left in storage to mix along with my peat moss. will i be able to just use only peat moss?
AnswerHi Jad,
Peat moss alone is not advisable for for Nepenthes. They need a mix that drains quickly, or they tend to get root rot. Straight peat will have very little aeration. They are not super picky about the specific ingredients, just that it drains well. It will be best if you can find some of the other ingredients.
Good Growing!
