QuestionHello, I put my sarracenia alata and 2 flytraps in my south facing window for them to break out of dormancy early, approximately how long will it take them to break dormancy. I got them from you guys but I kept them outside for a while and brought them inside now.
Water: distilled
Light: sunlight 4+ hours south facing window
Soil: same pot they came in.
AnswerHi Ishan,
Once they are in warmer conditions it usually takes around a month to see significant growth. Since we are so close to the Equinox, that is often the trigger that causes them to shift into more rapid growth if it's warm enough.
I noticed that much of Georgia is already seeing 70's outside. Were you just wanting to have them in the window? By late March with those kind of temperatures you will see them starting to grow significantly outside, and they will be getting much better sun.
Good Growing!
