Question
Nepenthes distillatori
Allexperts,
I got this Nepenthes distillatoria from you a little while back some time in December. It has no pitchers. I usually associated a nepenthes without any pitchers as being in some distress, especially if I am giving the plant enough: water, sunlight, and soil. I just wondering is this plant okay? I open to some general care of this plant. Can this plant adapted to household conditions? I have a picture attached to the email. Thank you for your time.
Grow information:

Humidity natural house humidity= 20% ( guess)
AnswerHi Weylin,
Thanks for the photo. Your plant looks fine, but when I looked at your growing conditions, I saw the problem quickly. N. distillatoria is a lowlander, and is used to hot, humid conditions. They come from Sri Lanka and are used to very warm weather year-round. They are very similar to N. bicalcurata in this respect. This is one plant that I would recommend a terrarium for to get it's temperature and humidity up. It's daytime temperatures should be in the 80's and no lower than 70 at night.
Good Growing!
