Question

Nepenthes QoH x KoS   I just received a QoH x KoS (I know the name has changed But I can't remember it)via mail order and have never received a plant so bad looking. Please tell me whats happening and/or happened.

Soil: 1/3 Orchid Bark, 1/3 Perlite, 1/3 NZ Sphagnum topped of with NZ Sphagnum.

Lighting: 4ft 4Bulb T-5HO with 2 6500k and 2 3000k, on 14 hours, 20 inches from the top of the plant

Humidity: 70-73%

Temp: Day 73-75 / Night 61-57

Watering: Keep the soil moist not wet and humidity controlled humidifier mists multiple times a day with distilled water.

Grown inside a "grow tent" 72x48x48 with complete air exchange every 3-4 minutes.

I've had it almost 2 days and it looks the same as it did when it arrived. Except I cut the pitchers off, there were 2 and they were shriveled up and very dead.

Hi James,

Your conditions are great.  This is classic cold damage that was probably incurred during shipping.  You should contact your plant seller immediately to see about a possible replacement.   This plant may pull through since the newest leaf looks ok, but it's hard to tell at this stage.  

How was the plant packed, and where was it shipped from?
