Question
N. Mira
Allexperts,
I got this Nepenthes Mira from you guys. Its new home is in a window sill. I believe the window is in the south. I water the plant with distilled water. The reason why i emailing you is the plant has red spots on the plants and the leaves turn yellow. I am wondering if this is a natural or should I be concerned about? I have attached a photo of the plant. Thank you for your time. If you need anything else I gladly let you know.
Sincerely,
Weylin Callery
AnswerHi Weylin,
Thank-you for sending the photo. That always helps.
The red spots are on older leaves, and this is natural. Your new growth looks fine. Some Nepenthes species produce these spots on older leaves consistently. I almost always see them on N. rafflesiana.
Good Growing!
