QuestionHey Guys, Jason here from AZ. I have a burmanii Burmese Sundew
I got from you. My question is can I do leaf cuttings to get more plants? Also, if I don't let the plant flower will it live for more than two years?
Thanks,
Jason
AnswerWe haven't attempted leaf cuttings on this sundew, so I can't give you a definitive answer. The most reliable method of propagation is through seeds. The plant will readily accept its own pollen. Under good growing conditions, the plant will live 2-3 years, even after flowering. In cultivation, we regard it as an annual mostly because some growers can't keep it warm and bright enough to keep this plant happy.
Good growing!
