I have a drosera tracyi that i ordered from you guys around 3 weeks ago.I live in georgia just north of atlanta. i had a question about winter dormancy of this species. i heard this plant can tolerate freezing temperatures but i think my temperature is to cold for this species to be left outside all winter. last year the lowest temperature was around 14 degrees.im wondering what i can do if my temperature is to cold.could i put it in a refrigator all winter or leave it in my unheated garage. please help, i think i heard my first frost is coming. THANK YOU!!

Your region is USDA zone 8, and our nursery is located in USDA zone 8 in Oregon.  Our plants have survived temperatures as low as 8癋, including the batch of tracyi from which your plant came.  For growers in zone 8, the key is protecting the plant against dehydration during deep freezes (below 20癋).  The process is too extensive to cover in this format.  You can find this information on our website.
