QuestionYesterday my tent blew off my deck, where it was drying, and knocked one of my potted cactus plants over. The dry limestone sand/gravel mulch spilled right onto my tray of D. spatulata plants. They were all covered in the sand. I tried removing it by hand, but the dew is sticking to it. I am thinking I will need to get a pair of forceps to remove each grain of the limestone sand. How important will it be for me to get all of the sand off of the plants?
AnswerHi Jerry,
I would try and get as much off as you can. It might also help to flood it with distilled water to try and wash excess sand away. Overall though, I don't think this will be a big problem.
Good Growing!
