Gravel on Drosera spatulata

Question
Yesterday my tent blew off my deck, where it was drying, and knocked one of my potted cactus plants over. The dry limestone sand/gravel mulch spilled right onto my tray of D. spatulata plants. They were all covered in the sand. I tried removing it by hand, but the dew is sticking to it. I am thinking I will need to get a pair of forceps to remove each grain of the limestone sand. How important will it be for me to get all of the sand off of the plants?

Answer
Hi Jerry,

I would try and get as much off as you can.  It might also help to flood it with distilled water to try and wash excess sand away.  Overall though, I don't think this will be a big problem.

Good Growing!
