QuestionI had my north American plant outside, when a unexpected snowstorm hit. I wasn't home, but I brought the plant back inside as soon as I could. Now, all the new growth is dead, and there is no sign of life.
Am I watering a dead plant?
AnswerHi Ryan,
If the rhizome of your plant still looks good, probably not. We've had late season frosts hit us when many plants were in active growth, and it killed lots of the new growth. When the weather warmed the next week, they hardly missed a beat. They started making lots of new growth.
Just clip the dead stuff off. If the rhizome survived they will begin producing new growth.
How cold did it get during the snowstorm?
Good Growing!
