Is it safe to de-mulch C.P?

Question
Hello Guys, so spring is on its way finally! This is my first dormancy and I have been getting really anxious to take my Venus Fly Traps and Pitcher plants from under their mulch Pile (Typical V.F.T and Judith Hindles P.P). I live in Mass and right now the day time temperatures have been in the mid 40's and mid 50's which is a good sign spring is coming. My only concern is the night time/Low temperatures are still hovering around 30 to 40 degrees. Should I continue to wait until these night time temperatures increase, or do you think I should take them out so they can start getting some daytime sun light? I have been looking at the weather for the upcoming weeks and it shows night time/Low temperatures just staying above freezing and maybe dropping to 29 degrees one day. If I should continue to wait, what temperatures should I look for to allow me to bring my plants out of hiding?

Best Regards, Ken

Answer
Hi Ken,

You should be just fine to uncover you plants now.  Just watch your weather, and if you have a spell where they say it could be in the low 20's (not upper 20's) cover with a simple tarp overnight.  We are still having nighttime lows in the 30's here and we don't cover our plants unless lows are going to be in the low 20's or teens.

It looks like you may be having some very nice weather.  I'm so jealous!  We are still very much in our torrential spring rain.

Good Growing!
