QuestionAre any of the mature carnivorous plants, of any species, capable of eating larger insects such as damsel flies and dragon flies? If they are capable of doing so then what species are large enough to make a habit of it?
AnswerHi Nicholas,
Many of the Nepenthes are capable of capturing small amphibians, reptiles and even rodents. Capture of small vertebrates by these plants is fairly common. I've personally witnessed it in plants by Hawaiian growers.
Good Growing!
