QuestionHello, I enjoyed your open-house. It was extremely cool, fun and you guys have gorgeous plants.
My Nepenthes Villosa that I got from you guys has a dark red spot on the stem. It looks a little scrapped on it too. I'm not sure what it is, I doubt it's a pest infection though. What can I give the plant to get rid of the red scrapped spot on the stem?
Everything else on it looks perfect, strong, colorful, and firm, especially being a very tiny nepenthes. I just want to make sure it will be fine. Thank You.
AnswerHi Agustin,
I'm glad you enjoyed the Open House.
The red spot on your plant may be some minor damage. There's not much you can do about that, and nor do you need to. Unless you see obvious problems, such as insect pests, it's of no concern. With time it will fade as the plant grows and forms a woody stem.
In your cool misty environment you're creating, a Nepenthes villosa should be very happy.
Good Growing!
