my plant seems to have stopped growing and producing pitchers
lighting: southern window
soil: coconut fiber/bark, same soil provided by you
water: rain/distilled
climate: central Michigan
I purchased my plant from your site about 2 years ago
It was growing just fine in these conditions during those two years until recently. during the summer I keep my plant outside on my deck. just last fall my deck was removed and replaced, during this time I had to move my plant to many different locations. Im guessing that this caused it some stress and it began to drop its leaves and pitchers. during the following winter it only grew 2 new pitcher-less leaves, they were very small compared to its previous leaves. now it doesn't seem to be growing at all and its dropping its leaves again... at this rate I don't think its going to make it, so I was wondering if you guys had any advice.

I can see in the photo that you have standing water in the tray of the pot. Seeing that, and the color of the soil, it looks like your plant is in early stages of some root-rot from being kept waterlogged. Nepenthes shouldn't sit in water. It's ok to have a little runoff into the tray, but it shouldn't have water there all the time. The appearance of your plant is consistent with some root rot. Try not having the tray under it, and just water it like other plants. The soil should be a little moist, but the plant will tolerate a little drying in the soil. A little shot of Superthrive could also help here to help the plant grow new roots.
