QuestionHey guys. I know that I have seen some questions that mention self watering pots (pots with a reservoir at the bottom that you fill with water) and was wondering if they would be suitable for the types of plants that I have. I have an assortment of flytraps, drosera (D. dichotoma, D. filiformis ssp. filiformis, etc), and Sarracenia(S. leucophylla var. 'Tarnok', S. purpurea ssp. venosa, Doodle Bug, etc.#. Also if these types of pots work is it OK to combine some of the plants to one larger pot #like your bathtub garden#?
AnswerHi Miguel,
Self watering pots work OK. Of course, the construction varies from brand to brand, so it will depend on how much water the pot holds and how easy it is to check the water level. We use them on a few plants in our personal collection.
All of the plants you've listed will grow well together in a single pot or container bog garden.
Good growing!
