QuestionHi, I live in Tallahassee, Florida I ordered a "Dente" Venus Flytrap from you guys last week. It came in the 3" pot you guys planted it in and i put it outside everyday to let it get in the most sun it can (at least 7-9 hours). i water it with rainwater. The question is, it is considerably young and small (but very healthy) and it already has a flower stalk. should i cut it off or not? And why does it have one at this young age? Can you please help me out?!?!
AnswerHi Micheal,
Venus flytraps often try to bloom when young. Just cut the flower off. You'll get a much nicer looking plant that way. Next year you should be fine to let it bloom.
Good Growing!
