Moss on Soil

Question
I have a nepenthes and drosera in a terrarium, and recently discovered moss growing on the soil. I do not know what kind of moss it is, but I am fairly certain that it is not Sphagnum. Should I remove it or let it grow, and if I need to remove it, what would be the best way of doing so? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Kevin,

This is a common moss that is naturally present in peat moss.  Usually it is of no concern.  If you don't want it there, just gently scrape it off.  If it becomes very thick it can be a bit of a nuisance, but by that time, it's probably time to transplant them anyway.

Good Growing!
