QuestionI forgot to ask this in my last question. You say to still keep the soil constantly moist in the winter but there is just one problem, my soil is frozen solid. Should I be worried about this at all, or do I just need to keep it moist when it is warm enough?
AnswerHi S.,
Even though the soil is frozen, they have water. Just overnight freezes are not of much concern, but if you have an extended cold spell, like much of the country has right now, be sure to cover plants to cut down on transpiration. Long periods of cold, especially with wind, freeze-dry plants.
