N. ventricosa (Intermediate)

Question
Hello Jeff or Jacob!

    I live in Florida (zone 10) and I was wondering how a N. ventricosa (Intermediate) would grow in Florida?  I understand it should be grown as a "house plant" by a windowsill but all my window sills are either covered by furniture/have dark colored curtains that attract A LOT of heat.  I was wondering if I could even grow it outside since I do not have a greenhouse.  The plant would get 6-8 hours of Florida sunlight, and I know they should only get filtered sunlight (sunset/afternoon) but I was hoping you could help me out with my issue!

~~~Thanks Justin~~~
Answer
Hi Justin,
Nepenthes ventricosa will do great in south Florida.  Just protect it from rare freezes such as parts of your state are having now.  Find a spot for it where it will get dappled sun.  They often do great hanging in small trees.  It will catch lots of ants for you. :)
Good Growing!
