QuestionHey SNW,
Winter is approaching, and I was thinking ahead to when I will rejuvenate the growing area for my plants early next year. I've seem your videos on basic techniques for plants such as Sarracenia, Drosera, and Dionaea. Currently growing a Cephalotus and want to know how to repot it in a way that minimizes root disturbance, since I know that this plant dislikes repotting in general. What do you suggest?
AnswerHi Taylor,
The simplest thing to do when transplanting Cephalotus is to use a solution of Superthrive when transplanting. Remove just a minimal amount of soil to avoid root disturbance, then soak the plant in a Superthrive solution for 15 minutes. Just follow the directions on the bottle for concentration. After that just repot in the recommend soil mix. Also, try to give Cephalotus a big pot. They get long roots as they age.
Good Growing!
