QuestionIt looks like the Heliamphora I put into a 7" pot in the summer pot will need a wider one before too much longer.
How deep does the soil need to be for it and is it actually a small grow point and just looks like it needs a larger pot, or will it need one before lt it crowds the pitchers too much?

Heliamphora doesn't mind being a bit root-bound. Similar to Darlingtonia, they are often found in nature growing among rocky water springs. It's fine to transplant it to a larger pot, but it probably isn't a big need unless the plant is looking ridiculously crowded.
