QuestionHi guys! I recently acquired a heliamphora minor x heterodoxa. How can I make its color brilliant pistachio green with bright red nector cups? Any tips on that you know of?
Thanks,
Emmi
AnswerHi Emmi,
As with most plants, good color is a result of good light. Heliamphora do very well under fluorescent lights. A simple two-tube shoplight with two 40 watt cool-white tubes works very well. For more information on growing Heliamphora visit our caresheet pages at: http://cobraplant.com/caresheets
We will also have a nice segment on Heliamphora in our "Grow Carnivorous Plants" series in volume #3 coming out in January.
Good Growing!
