Pings and a Drosera

Question
I have obtained some plants from a fellow grower. I was expecting only one plant, but got three much to my pleasant surprise. The problem I have is obtaining information about the plants because they are relatively new and/or hybrids.

I think that the plants would follow the tropical patterns: lower light levels and either top watering or bottom watering in shallow water.

The first is P. Aphrodite (P. agnata x P. moctezumae), the second is P. Weser (P. moranensis x P. ehlersiae), and the last one is D. Burmannii, which is easier to find the growing requirements for but I would still like to double check.

Also the P. Aphrodite had the hardest time during shipping (my guess is a bad in-box movie); is there anything I can do to help it along or is letting the plant recover on it's own the best bet? I live in VA and the person I got it from lived in NJ, if it helps. Also I use sunlight/grow light for my plants.

PS: N. Miranda from you guys ships tomorrow! Can't wait.

Answer
Hi Remag,

The growing requirements for these plants are a bit extensive, so I'm going to refer you to our main website for the care sheets:

The most you can do to help your plants recover from the shipping process is to place them in the appropriate sunlight and water, and to give them lots of time.  In some instances with bare root shipping (I'm assuming your plants were shipped bare root), it can take up to a couple months for plants to look normal again.  That's when they'll produce a new set of leaves to cover up the old ones.

You can also give your plant some SuperThrive?  Follow the directions on the bottle.  I use this product to help my plants recover from bare root shipping, and it definitely helps.  They seem to recover quicker.

Good growing!
