QuestionHi, i want to grow a Nepenthes ampullaria plant from a seed. I was wondering what i could use for the soil and the proper steps to grow a carnivorous plant from a seed. Thanks.
AnswerHi Kevin,
You definitely can. Be wary though of obtaining Nepenthes seed unless you know exactly when the seed was collected. Many Nepenthes have very short viability on their seed; as little as a month.
I'm not quite as experienced in growing Nepenthes from seed. Try visiting the forum pages at http://www.alohanepenthes.com It is run by Sam Estes of the Leilani Ha'pu' Nepenthes Nursery. He has vast experience in growing Nepenthes from seed.
Good Growing!
