QuestionQUESTION: In the late spring I have 6 sarracenias that are blooming.I have S.Psittacina , S.Flava , S.rosea , S.pupurea , red tube , and S.leucophylla. I wanted to use pollen from each sarracenias but use S.Psittacena for producing seeds. Can I use each pollen from each sarracenia and pollinate psittacena and each pollen go to each stigma will it work?
ANSWER: Hi Thanakrit,
You can definitely do that. You won't really know until seeds grow a couple of years how the hybridization happened. You will probably get a mix. It also possible just because of timing of receptivity of the stigmas that only one or to other species will have pollinated the flower.

QUESTION: Now it's raining a lot what should I do my plants is getting rot! I can't move in to the house because there are only a little sunlight!
AnswerHi Thanakrit,
Your plants shouldn't be rotting. In the Southern U.S. they are no strangers to heavy rain. If you are in monsoon season you might need to shelter them some with a little shadecloth or just take them out of the water trays during heavy rain. I need to know a bit more about how your are caring for them. If you have the ability to send a photo, that would help very much also.
Good Growing!
