QuestionHi there,
I need a couple of sundew to guard my fruitbasket and juicer, and my desk.
Are there any species you would recommend as particularly hardy and adaptable to our shorter and darker winter days?
Thanks

AnswerHi Dave,
All sundews are going to need to be in a bright window. None could live in the middle of a room from just ambient room light with out supplemental lighting.
The most shade tolerant of the sundews is Drosera adelae. They do fine in east, and south windows. They can do ok in north windows if it is a big window. D. adelae also does very well under fluorescent lights. The do need to be close to the light, however.
Good Growing!
