QuestionHi all exports,
I'm wondering what I should do for the sarracenia purpurea. Should I leave it outside? If I put it into water and the water freezes would that be damaging to the plant? I live in USDA zone 7.
Sincerely,
Weylin
AnswerHi Weylin,
Since we're several more months away from winter dormancy, lets hold off on winter dormancy questions for now. Instead, focus on providing lots of sunlight and water for your plants. This will keep it healthy and increase it's chances of making it through the winter. For now, read our general care instructions and watch our monthly video podcast on our main website:

The care sheet have general guidelines on how to care for our Sarracenia in winter. This will give you an idea of what you'll need to do. In mid fall, if you need further guidance, contact us again.
Good growing!
