Hi. I've always wanted to grow nepenthes ampullaria so I'm planning to buy one, but I don't know what is the right condition to grow nepenthes ampullaria. I live in Asia so temperature and humidity is not the problem. I 'm just concerned about the lighting. Some say that nepenthes ampullaria grow well under shaded condition, but some say that they grow well when they are well-illuminated, so which one is the best condition to grow this species?

Hi Tan,

Give it partial sun.  A good friend of ours is a grower in Hawaii and he grows ampullaria on the ground with other Nepenthes around it.  He has light shade cloth over the area.  In a home environment outside, just choose an area that has either morning sun or dappled light that comes through trees.  With most Nepenthes they like it brighter than is often thought.
