Hey guys! How are you doing this summer so far? Ok, so i had some clear plastic containers that i was thinking of using as water trays for some of my Sarracenia. I wanted to cover them with black plastic, but im not sure what to use. Would black plastic trash bags work or would i have to use a different type of plastic? Thanks!

Our summer has been very good.  We just completed our second open house with a good turnout.

The plastic trash bags should work just fine.  It will act as a UV shield to slow down the degradation of the clear plastic.  If you can get the ones that are slightly thicker, it helps.  Just look on the label to see how many mil the bags are.  The bigger the number, the thicker the plastic.  Black plastic sheeting works well also.  We use it on our Sarracenia kiddie pools to protect them.
