Most shade tolerant Nepenthes

Question
What do you think is the most shade tolerant Nepenthes for indoor growing?  Something to try and see how it does....
N. sanguinea and ventricosa sound like easy and adaptable, though not necessarily all that shade tolerant.  Or, N. gymnamphora, a terrestrial plant.....a terrestrial plant sounds more shade tolerant.

Answer
Hi Doug,

The most shade tolerant Nepenthes are the ones that grow close to the ground.  Examples would be N. sibyuanensis, N. ampullaria, N. gymnamphora, etc...  In my personal experience the lowland form of Nepenthes truncata is fairly shade tolerant also.  N. sanguinea isn't shade tolerant at all, and N. ventricosa is intermediate in this regard.  Unfortunately, most of those terrestrial growers are lowlanders that also need elevated humidity.

Most Nepenthes need bright light.  Trying to grow one in the middle of a room never works.  Bright north windows can work especially if they get a little morning or afternoon sun.  The usual consequence of low light is no pitchers.

Good Growing!
