sarracenia purpurea grow

Question
QUESTION: Hello, I just want to know how long does it takes for a new sarracenia purpurea
leaf to grow into a pitcher.

ANSWER: Hi Aaron,

In good growing conditions it will take about 3 weeks for a new pitcher to emerge from shoot to new leaf.  Warmer temperatures will make it grow faster like all plants.

QUESTION: Thanks for the answer but i forgot something else thought, How long does it
take for a sundew and venus fly trap to grow a new leaf? Sorry about that.

Answer
Hi Aaron,

Sundews tend to grow much faster.  A new leaf a week is common during the summer.  Venus flytraps are a little slower.  They produce a new leaf about every week and a half during the summer.  In winter they are dormant, and don't grow at all.
