QuestionBefore i had my plants, pitcher, sundew, and venus outside
in full sun all day, but now im back in college (spring
break ended..bummer) and i was forced to buy a grow
light..they are still in 1-2 inches of distilled water and
the sand sphagnum peatmoss potting mix and the grow light
is like a little under a foot id reckon (i cant make it any
higher)..i also bought this cool lil digital timer so i
have it on turning on at 8 am and turning it off at 10
pm..will all this be sufficient (i also have a fan on)
AnswerHi Matt,
Light intensity is the most important thing, so make sure your fluorescent tubes are 40-watts. Ditch the 20-watt tubes because they're simply not bright enough. The lights should also be about 6-8 inches above the plants. This will at least replicate full sun.
Good growing!
