QuestionHi. I am very excited to have just purchased a cephalotus. I was wondering if
the conditions I am putting it in are ok. I have about 60% humidity (no
terrarium), two 15 watt flourescent tubes going all the time, peat/perlite mix,
and I am putting about a 1/4'' of distilled water in it's tray. It is indoors.
Thanks,
Joe
AnswerHi Joe,
Your conditions sound good. A couple things to refine it a bit. Don't keep the light on 24/7. Most plants don't do well with that long-term since it's something that never happens in nature. Put the light on a timer. Also, be sure to let the water disappear in your tray before you add more. Cephalotus always does best if it is slightly drier.
Good Growing!
