QuestionIs it normal for the phyllodia of S.flava and, Hibernaculum of D.filiformis'Florida Giant' to turn red. Also, when is the right time to cut the leaves of my S.flava and S.judith hindle.
AnswerHi Jesus,
Very much so. As the weather begins to warm they get more sun, and that's where the red comes from.
If your flava and Judith Hindle still have any leaves from the previous season, cut them off now. You can leave any fully formed leaves that have not browned, and leave any live phyllodia on the flava.
Good Growing!
