Question in reading about nepenthes i see the term adult pitchers and am not sure what this means. do the pitchers mature to an adult size. or are adult pitchers only found on adult plants? Thanks for the great place to get answers to questions Im sure to you may seem silly.
AnswerHi Jimmy,
What an adult pitcher means is one that has finished growing. What that looks like is the lid is open and the peristome has finished folding down. At this point the pitcher will not change in appearance much until it dies. This is an adult pitcher. A pitcher can reach "adulthood" on a young or old plant.
Good Growing!
