QuestionOk well I have a D. adelae that has about 5 other little ones growing in the pot. I have Miracle Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss and Perlite as well. Well it says that they both are enriched with plant food. What should I do so that I won't kill any of the D. Adelae when it is time to replant the little ones and also when I have to replant some of my other carnivorous plants?
AnswerHi Jay,
Avoid using any sort of peat moss and perlite that is enriched with fertilizer. Fertilizer in the soil will promptly kill many forms of carnivorous plants. If you can't find peat moss or perlite without any additives, you can purchase them from us online:

Otherwise, try locating a different store or garden center near you. You could also purchase these ingredients in bales or large sacks. Since they are often packaged by the original manufacturer, they are often free of contamination. It might seem a waste to purchase a lot more than you really need for now, but the ingredients are relatively inexpensive and will last indefinitely as long as they are kept dry.
