butterwort & sundew

Question
i live in south carolina where venus flytraps are native. i have had a few of the same & pitcher plants live out side in a manmade bog (but still in pots) for one year. i would like to expand on this. if i order plants from you would thet survive outside here? how about butterwort  sundew? thank-you ,pam

Answer
Hi Pam,

They most certainly would since we grow all of our North American plants outdoors.  The are fully acclimated.  Just follow the directions on unpacking your plants that come with them since they do need a brief transition period after being shipped.  Also be sure an select North American species for being outside.  You don't for instance, want to put a Mexican butterwort or a Lance-leaf sundew outside since they are tropical plants.  It's well defined on our website those plants that are  garden plants, and which are tropical.

Good Growing!
