QuestionHi can I grow a P. primuliflora in full direct sunlight for 4 to 6 hours with out shade. Will this harm or affect the plant in any way or will it grow fine in thows Conditions. If not were is the best placs to grow P. primuliflora in the shade. And when will you have Temperate Aquatic Bladderworts and Large S. leuophylla for sale. And do you have Aldrovanda vesiculosa in cultivation and do you sale them.
AnswerHi Jesus,
Pinguicula primuliflora does best with partial shade. I like to place some other plants around them that helps dapple the light.
It'll probably be next year before we have anymore aquatic Utricularia. Just keep checking the website from time to time for the S. leucophylla. We may have some available in early September. We have had zero success in growing Aldrovanda. I have tried different techniques about 5 different times with no luck. We probably won't carry them unless I can find a better way to culture them. Unless you have a well established, semi-natural pond, they are very difficult to grow.
Good Growing!
