QuestionI read the question and answer regarding using purified, distilled or RO water. We have a Culligan system. If there is salt in the water from the system, will that be disagreeable to my pitcher plant?
AnswerHi Debbie,
Yes! Water softened in a softener such as Culligan is actually worse than watering with hard water. Nepenthes are not all that sensitive to hard water, so if distilled or R.O. purified water is not available, use your untreated water as opposed to water that has been through the softener.
