QuestionQUESTION: Is dormancy for the species Vulgaris essential?
ANSWER: These are all plants of cold climates that survive the cold winters by making tight little buds called hibernacula. so if you can create a cold enough situation and hope that your plant will create a hibernacula then yes you should... but even if it didnt make any of these bugs i know you can still take care of it if you have any more question contact me or one of my fellow experts at allexperts.com or contact me at

QUESTION: I've set up a 5-gal plastic tub with peat water. One handful for each gal. I've set it outside. Would this work?
Answerwell was never so good at math but the peat moss water might work but i doubt it so you should use distilled or rain water plus if you let it sit in terrarium it will just rot the plant they like to be wet all the time never dry but not so wet, setting the plant in a plastic container if thats what your going for would act as a terrarium but if this is a vulgaris then im not sure how your going to keep it at the right temp. when dormancy time comes. if you need any help contact me or my fellow experts at allexpert.com or me at
