QuestionHello Jacob & Jeff,
I received my Nepenthes Ceaser last week and I must say,
what a magnificent looking carnivorous plant. I'm very pleased with the condition that it arrived at my home.
My question is, do you have a care sheet that is available
for this particular hybrid nepenthes or do I give it the same care as my other nepenthes collection?(see my order history regarding nepenthes that have been extremely successful for me.)
Type of lighting: a combination of sun and shade.
Water: town water/rain water
Soil: from your nursery
Location: Massachusetts (outside summer/inside south window winter)
AnswerHi Dan,
The general care sheet that we have online is appropriate for the Caesar. Care for it like you would a Nepenthes truncata, and you'll do just fine.
In general, grow it in a south or west window and keep the soil moist at all times. I recommend keeping the plant indoors during the summer months mainly because it'll experience less shock when you move it outdoors and then back indoors. Sometimes Nepenthes will stop producing pitchers when they experience sudden changes in their environment. They'll resume when they acclimate to the new conditions.

Good growing!
