QuestionShould I bring my vft's outside this month. I live in Orange County. They are sprouting and have small leaves.
AnswerHi Ryan,
By all means, bring your flytrap outdoors. In fact, you can easily grow it outdoors throughout the year in southern California. We have customers in Los Angeles and San Diego who have followed our recommendations and successfully grew their flytraps outdoors throughout the year. One customer just reported that her flytraps in Los Angeles are now in their fourth year outside on her balcony.
Since it is early in their growing season, now is a good time to repot them if need be. Use a standard mix of 1 part perlite and 1 part peat moss.
For more information about growing flytraps, read the care sheets online:

Good growing!
