QuestionNow that I am not using Peatmoss in my Asian Pitcher Plants anymore(just Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss and Perlite) do I still have to replant them every year. It is a medium size plant and I put in a 8" pot.
AnswerHi Pam,
The yearly repotting recommendation is more for Sarracenia, sundews and flytraps. Their soil breaks down faster from being so wet. Nepenthes can stay in the same pot for several years. I'd recommend repotting about every three years or so. It just depends how big the plant is getting, and if it is drying out too fast.
Good Growing!
