QuestionI have my four vfts sitting by my window sill but are in a half kind of
dormancy thing. Two of them have tiny sprouts of vft leaves but they
are not even close to mature. The other two are not growing but all of
the plants have white bulbs. Should I keep them where they are or put
them in the refrigerator for further dormancy?
AnswerHello Ryan,
Your Venus Flytraps should be more than ready for cold weather by now. If the window they are in allows for cool temperatures down to the 50-60 range from chills at night it will drop them into dormancy. Placing them in the fridge or leaving them in a room or window that gets cold, down to 40 degrees or so, would allow for deeper dormancy. Either way, the plants will be fine until spring so long as you keep their soil barely moist and watch out for fungus.
