Reverse Osmosis Units

Question
We are on a well water system, but don't want to put in a house filtering system
at this time. Is there a reverse osmosis set up that can be attached to an outside
hose? Or can one be easily created?

Answer
Hi Nancy,

Pretty much any of them could be set up to work with a garden hose.  You just have to go to a hardware store and have them help you find adapters to the units hoses.  We have a GE Merlin R.O. unit, and that's exactly what I did.  Ours connects to a garden hose and fills a 300 gallon tank.  We put an adapter on the discharge line also, and use that water in the summer to water our vegetable garden.

On a side note, if you can afford it, I can't say enough good things about the Merlin R.O. unit.  It's simple, and can produce up to 700 gallons a day.  It's made to be an on-demand unit.  Most other are not.  We've had ours two years now, and still haven't replaced the membranes yet.  It works very well.

Good Growing!
