Indoor lighting question

Question
Hi there. I have bought numerous plants from you and have enjoyed everyone. I have several asian pitchers, a couple flytraps, multifork sundew, cape sundew, and two king sundews. They are all doing wonderfully. Now I would like to take one asian pitcher and king sundew to work, but will need to use a lamp. I have a desk lamp that uses a full spectrum flourecent bulb. The bulb is 27 watts, but says it produces the same light as a 150 watt normal bulb. Will this be enough? I could find an actual 40 watt flourecent bulb anywhere. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Brandon,

Your desklamp sounds like the ones sold at Home Depot that have the movable arm.  These are great for a plant or two.  Just move the plants within about 3 inches of the light.  They are good high-output units.  Add an inexpensive timer and you're good to go.

Good Growing!
