QuestionI assume that drosera can be divided like any other house plant. I have several that I would like to divide to place around our home as insect "getters". (they are amazing in their capturing ability, I might ad) Your thoughts, please
AnswerHi Bruce,
It entirely depends on the species of Drosera that you have. Some sundews produce clumps, such as D. adelae and D. spatulata. Clumps of these plants can easily be divided into individual plants.
Other species, such as D. capensis, produce long tap roots and don't spread like the two other species. So you won't be able to divide this one up. Instead, you would do root cuttings or collect seeds.
If you need further assistance, please write back as a follow up. I will also need the species of the plants you have to best assist you further. You can check the sundews we have in stock and use the photographs to help identify your sundews:
