QuestionHello, I am going to order one of the Nepentes Truncatas, and was wondering if pitchers that large can still be grown in a hanging pot, or they need to be able to sit on a solid surface?
AnswerHi John,
Nepenthes truncata does fine in a hanging pot. The pitchers and tendrils are incredibly tough and fiberous. It is quite difficult to even cut off a dead one. We have two big ones in hanging pots that look spectacular in the summer.
Good Growing!
