QuestionSarracenia Northwest,
Yet again I must say I am extremely pleased with my orders from your company! The N. eymae I received came in perfect condition and is making its first pitcher!
I was curious though, under what conditions did you previously have this plant? I researched this plant and some say it can deal with temperatures similar to N. maxima and others say it is a typical highlander. Even if it can deal with milder temperatures, if you had it growing in typical highland conditions previously I don't want to shock it by thrusting it into a more "intermediate" environment.
Thank you so much for your time and service!

AnswerHi John Paul,
Our experience is that it grows very similarly to Nepenthes maxima. There really isn't a hard and fast rule to growing highland Nepenthes since the terms highland and lowland are arbitrary.
All of our Nepenthes are grown in highland conditions, which is why we rarely carry lowland species. But I'd say your plant will easily acclimate to intermediate conditions. In fact, I've seen many N. maxima plants take off in intermediate and lowland conditions. Since N. eymae is very closely related to N. maxima, it should do just fine. It's a fast growing plant, which is also another indication that it will acclimate to intermediate conditions very readily.
Good growing!
